GISD Curriculum

The Gilmer ISD Curriculum Department believes that all K-12 students must have access to an engaging curriculum that stimulates student thought and inquiry. Where possible, it should be constructed and inspired collectively and cooperatively among teachers on each campus. We believe the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills with identified Readiness and Supporting Standards and Process Skills are central to curriculum content and that vertical and horizontal articulation of the K-12 curriculum is essential. Our department supports and serves teachers, students, parents, and administrators through professional development, classroom support, and instructional resources.
