Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are so excited to have you and your child as part of the Gilmer Intermediate School family!

As we begin this year, the staff at GIS is making huge plans so that our students remember the great year they have had at GIS.  We are hard at work improving our curriculum as well as tweaking our instruction so that we help each student attain the level of success that he/she desires.

Rest assured this will be a difficult year for our students due to the standard of excellence we have set for all students.  However, we are preparing them for the road to Junior High School.

We are planning various activities both during the day and in the evenings.  We hope to see everyone there as we value the involvement of our parents in the education of their children.
