As part of a scholarship program unique in the type of students it supports and retention rates that far exceed the national average, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation's Dell Scholars Program today awarded 300 student with $6,000,000 in college scholarship funds, including Cheri Cabello From Gilmer ISD.
"We are so proud of Cheri Cabello for this exciting recognition from the national scholarship program designed for students who have committed to preparing themselves for the college experience," said Paula Power, the Gilmer High School AVID teacher. "Cheri is remarkable in her determination to succeed, complete the AVID program, and pursue a college degree to realize her goals."
